What is Nutritional Therapy?
Nutritional therapy is a complementary therapy, which means it can work alongside orthodox medicine. By using food and nutritional supplements the body is encouraged to heal naturally. It does this by:
- Detoxifying the body.
- Correcting vitamin and mineral deficiencies.
- Restoring healthy digestion.
- Developing a positive attitude.
All natural foods contain a range of components or nutrients that can affect and support the body in different ways. By optimising the foods we eat we can improve how we feel.
The types of health issues nutritional therapy can help include:
Allergies and intolerances
Arthritis and backache
Coeliac’s disease
Depression
Energy levels
Gallstone and liver problems
Hay fever
Headaches and Migraines
High Blood pressure and high cholesterol
Infertility
Irritable bowel syndrome (IBS)
Menstrual, hormonal and menopause problems
Osteoporosis
Prostate problems
Skin conditions: eczema, acne
Stress management
Thyroid problems
Tiredness and lack of energy
Weight control
Wheat and gluten intolerances
Nutritional Therapy is for you even if you have NO symptoms but wish to achieve the best possible health. This is especially important for both men and women in preparation for pregnancy and a healthy baby.
How does Nutritional Therapy work?
At your consultation we will work together to help you achieve optimum health.
How long will it take for me to heal?
As we are all individuals this will depend on your unique biochemistry. I will give you monthly support at half-hour review meetings plus email support. The suggestions I will give you will allow you to heal as fast as your body allows. Healing will also depend on how long you have had the symptoms and your level of compliance. |
